THANK YOU AND A BELATED HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ME!
My plan was to have a restful break over the Christmas holidays (and I actually took 2 whole weeks out this year for the 1st time since I've started my little business) and then to launch myself into planning 2021.
If you're reading this in the UK in particular, you'll know that this was all thrown out of the window after the new January lockdown announcement this week. Such is life though. My 1st emotions were fear and dread but after a good night's sleep I came to the realization that I can work through this. I have to. We have to.
2020 was a worrying time for businesses including mine but it gave me the kick up the derriere that I needed to quicken my pace and continue creating and to push myself to do more and achieve more.
A big thanks to all of you lovely beings who have purchased from me, connected with me over on Instagram and Facebook and supported my little business. It means the world to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping me going.
WORDS OF INTENTION
Keeping moving forward in mind, I'm spending much of this week gathering together all my post it notes of lightbulb moments and notes and bringing them all together to form some sort of plan for 2021.
In all honesty last year was remarkable and kind to me and I achieved more than I thought I would even amidst all the challenges. I figure this year, with a bit more creative thinking and planning, it could be even better and so I'm determined to remain undeterred and keep going.
I've been choosing a word for the year for the last couple of years but I'm struggling this year so I've decided to pick 3.... and if life decides to throw more curveballs then I will exercise my right to change them too!
For 2021 I have chosen:
PURPOSE
CONNECTION
INSPIRATION
I chose PURPOSE because that is something that I often contemplate. Many people are parents, or have a vocation that serves others. I don't have children of my own but I make beautiful books and I hope that this year I can get more clarity on my purpose and legacy and what that is and will be.
CONNECTION: Well, that's a no brainer after 2020! 🙈 I want to make sure that I focus on being more present and connecting with my nearest and dearest this year.
INSPIRATION is one for my business life. I want to inspire others. I was told by a mentor once that I have an incredible story and I should tell it. It could inspire others to follow their dreams. So hoping this year I can do more things that will inspire others.
Have you set a word of intention for the year and is it something you have done before? I hope mine will inspire you to spend a few moments pondering on a word or 2 that you would like to lead you into the year ahead....and if it does inspire you then do comment and let me know. That would bring me much joy and a little confidence in knowing that I have chosen the right words of intention for me.
