I just thought I'd hop on and announce our new lines that we're stocking which now include the most beautiful fountain and dip pen inks from J Herbin.
I've been swooning over these for some time now and have a couple in my collection as a newbie to inks so the chance to stock them was too much to resist and I now have a very good selection in stock.
Let's start with the:
J HERBIN 1670 ANNIVERSARY INKS
The 1670 anniversary collection are all intensely deep colours with flecks of fine gold dust, they are just out of this world! We've tested them out on our own cartridge paper journals as well as the Rhodia paper and they write beautifully. There's a real depth of colour and intensity and the gold dust is just a shimmer so very subtle for writing unless you spill a bit or use a very wide nib in which case you see the sparkle a bit more.
Check the test swatches out below and we will be doing more in depth reviews of each ink colour soon:
Then we have the exclusive 1798 collection which celebrates the year Jacques Herbin launched his very own line of quality inks. The colours in this range are deep and unsaturated and illuminated with a subtle shimmery dusting of silver, giving them a beautiful elegance. Again, like the 1670 range, the shimmer is subtle unless you use a very wide nib. I will be posting some comparisons using various nibs soon so watch this space.
Our favourite from this collection is Kynanite du Nepal. Absolutely in love with that one. We'd love to know which one you're swooning over, so do comment and let us know.
Herbin 10ml bottles. These are tiny, travel size bottles that are really cute and just perfect if you're new to inks and pens and want to dip your toe in some inky waters and try them out without committing to a big bottle.
